I grew up on Thompson’s Ranch in the Rolling Plains of West Texas, near Colorado City. My father was ranch foreman, and my parents lived there for over fifty years. Love and marriage took me across the country to the state of Washington, but Texas is still dear to my heart. Which is why the majority of my books are set in the West Texas region that I love.

But not all of them. There is an oft quoted adage in publishing – if your readers like one type of book, stick to it, and build your brand. I didn’t. I’ve written contemporary and historical romances for both the general market and the Christian market. Besides the West Texas books, six are set in Regency England and Scotland. Another historical takes place in Iowa. To stir the pot even more, with four novels and one novella, I used my maiden name, Sharon Harlow, as a pen name.

So far, I’ve published nineteen novels and two novellas. No, they aren’t all listed on my website. The missing ones are no longer available new. But, not for long. During 2012, I’ll be self-publishing several of them as e-books. So check back every so often to see if another “old” much loved book has been made new again.
